I am still trying to process all of it, even after my 8 hour drive home. The Social Media presentation was the perfect closer for a perfect week of solid information. The interaction with all of the professionals in the class was just terrific. The Snowfighters Institute is just awesome and first class all the way! Our snow and ice management professionals a motivated by higher insurance costs and living with realization that their own claims history reports are marching down to a major city to “occupy wall street”. Mills Insurance is dealing with this on a daily basis, fighting hard to have insurance carriers understand what a good risk (a good snow and ice fighter) looks like, how they manage their risk, use proper documentation and spotlight the real change that is taken place. They want me to provide snowplowing services to 2 Citizen's Banks in our area, (which I have serviced these 2 branches for the past 10 years.), for a 16th of the price I was receiving. They are singularing killing this industry. The account manager was right when he said someone will do it for the $8000.00 they are offering! We at Mills strive to change the behaviors of our clients. Your post supports that change. If the industry had the risk manager mindset during operations and planning, it will support the important steps of documentation, communication, contracts and exposure control first. This will lead to a safer finished product for the client and protect the snow contractors operations from potential claims. great job- John,
