Memorial Day move

Monday, May 25th, 2009

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks getting ready to occupy new offices.  My wifes business needed new offices and I’ve tagged along to set up a new office for myself too.  Need about another week to be all ready to have a place to go each day, so as to have an office environment.  I do better with an office than working off the dining room table.  I can discipline myself to “go to the office” each day - much harder (for me) to “go to the dining room”.  So, no Memorial Day lazy time, or parades, or fireworks - or even to do the right thing on this day and salute those who have fought to keep our country free….just painting and moving furniture and setting up to have an office.  After two months of “no place to go” - I’m looking forward to being back at my desk working, as I need to in order to survive.

Consulting

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

For years, I have been approached to provide consulting services to the snow industry.  I have avoided doing this for several reasons…… the biggest reason was due to the extensive travel I experienced while starting and growing Snow Dragon.  I was on the road two to three weeks each month for the past three years, a grueling schedule to say the least.  However, now that my time is my own again - and I like how life has slowed down dramatically - it’s time to “hang a shingle” and go for it.  I like being on my own again, and look forward to working with contractors who are in the trenches and growing their business.
