“Out bid”
Tuesday, October 21st, 2008I just read a post on one of the discussion sites - where someone said they got “out bid” on a project. What a crock. This guy had quoted $160 per application of salt. Another guy quoted $150 per ton, one ton minimum. And, he felt he got “out bid”. No.. no.. no. He got “outsold”. Apparently no sales effort to explain things to the customer or to “sell” them on the benefits of thier own service ability.
Only two reasons not to get a sale of that nature - 1) You can’t do what the customer wants…. or 2) you got out-sold.
I’m amazed how some will go to great lengths to try to jusify their own shortcomings.
